AYURVEDIC PERSPECTIVE ON MUSCLE-RELAXANTHerbs that relax muscles. Helpful for chronic pain or tension as well as healing from physical trauma.Aromatic herbs are light but shocking to the muscle - paradoxically relaxing it. Sedatives, alteratives, and detoxicants may relax the nervous system, indirectly relaxing the muscle. Muscles are relaxed by heavy, warm, oily, soft, and stable. Magnesium helps relax the muscles of the heart, lungs and blood vessels, alleviating colicky conditions like asthma, headaches and muscle pain. Muscle relaxants may be topical or internal. Herb Drug Interaction RiskDo not combine muscle relaxants with antihistamines.
