When I studied Ayurveda, I was always taught melon was very hard to digest and should never be eaten before a meal or with any other foods?!?!
Generally, foods that digest at different rates should not be eaten together. Since melons are so easy to digest, they should not be combined with other foods. Thanks for your great question.
Certainly, mixing different melons would be okay I take it? For example, blending cantaloupe and watermelon for a drink.
I tend to think fine with other fruits, but not heavy proteins or starches.
