Explore Your Hunger is a must for anyone who wants to understand eating.
When you go outside and feel cold, you put on a sweater. You don't think about it, you just do it - automatically. If you get hot, you take the sweater off again. This book will teach you how to do that with food, so you won't need a list of foods or a meal plan to guide you. Instead, you can learn to trust yourself and your instincts. Just like you don't wear the same things every day, you don't eat or crave the same food every day either. One day you might naturally crave mashed potatoes and the next you may want brussel sprouts. It's a constantly changing process: you start to crave a certain ingredient, you eat it for a while, and then you stop when you've had enough. Kids do that naturally, but many adults have forgotten this skill. Thankfully, it's something you can relearn.

He wanted to introduce Ayurveda to his Appalachian mountain home and America. This was the genesis of Joyful Belly. Using ingredients familiar from his childhood, John created Joyful Belly to recast Ayurveda in the context of our American food traditions. Joyful Belly proves Ayurveda is accessible and necessary for everyday health & wellness. His simple, practical and familiar approach has helped thousands on their journey to health.
